“Life Without Love Is A Lost Life”
Born in the Eastern Townships in Magog, Quebec, the youngest daughter of a family of fourteen children, she decides later in life to make Montreal her home.
In 1977 she finds a new passion and enrolls in Art Classes given by the renown Frère Jérome Paradis. Marie Thérèse Lacroix developed her own artistic style while spending four years in his studio “La Partance” at the Collège Notre Dame in Montréal.
In 1995, Marie Thérèse relocated to Philadelphia as a magazine publishing executive. She studied at the University of Pennsylvania Art Faculty, where she further improved her brushwork and favorite medium, acrylic.
In 2013 in Sarasota, FL, she takes private courses with a well-known Painter, who obtained a Master of Art's degree in Odessa, Ukraine, representing the fifth generation of European artists in her family.
In 2017 she continues to improve her artwork by taking courses at Ringling College of Art in Sarasota, FL.
Marie Thérèse’s art is recognizable by her vibrant display of colors, exuberant flowers and humorous personas. On the canvas she expresses her sensibility for people and her love for nature.
Marie Thérèse lives in Morin Heights, Quebec during the summer and Sarasota, Florida during the winter. Her creativity is much influenced by the natural bright surroundings at her two residences.
Throughout her artistic life, Marie Thérèse participated in a number of different art exhibitions. Her artwork sells in Canada, United Stated and Europe.
